Meet the Staff at People & Pups
Kim Jukes is the owner and head trainer at People & Pups. She holds several certifications, including her ABCDT from Animal Behavior College, CGC Evaluator, Pet First Aid & CPR, Dog Bite Prevention Educator, Pet Dog Ambassador Assessor as well as a certificate in Aggression from K9Workingmind.
Kim is a positive reinforcement only trainer and is working to gain her Fear-Free certification.
Kim volunteers her training services at several rescues and shelters, including Akita Rescue of Northwestern Pennsylvania, Austin Boxer Rescue Kennels, Fuzzy Friends Rescue, Humane Society of Central Texas and Pet Circle Regional Animal Center.
Kim is also a member of several organizations including the Animal Behavior College Alumni Association, the Pet Professionals Guild and the Waco Animal Coalition.
Kim has 4 dogs of her own, Trinny, Joy, Loki and Ellie.

Loki Jukes is the head assistant trainer. He helps Kim teach group classes, teach dogs how to properly react to other dogs and helps at booths at the occasional market, event or presentation.
Loki has his Pet Dog Ambassador level 2 certification and is working to obtain his level 3 certification. He's able to teach all classes from Basic Manners to Advanced Manners and even Public Manners. He absolutely loves his job at People & Pups and gets mad when he's not required to participate in a training class or session.
Loki is also the lead after class inspector and specializes in finding the forgotten dropped treats and locating where the student dogs have been at the training facility.

Joy Jukes is the reaction specialist and assists in helping dogs learn a proper reaction to another reactive dog. She holds the Virtual Home Manners certification from the American Kennel Club as well as Basic Obedience certification.
She loves being part of the after class inspection crew and specializes in checking every square inch of the training facility to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the facility after each class or session.
Joy has worked for People & Pups since the opening in 2018 and has no plans to retire anytime soon.

Trinny Jukes is the treat inventory specialist. As part of the after class inspection crew, her job is to determine whether the correct amount of treats were used after each class or session in the training facility. Very often, she finds that there were not enough treats used and has to remove treats from inventory to make the records match the actual treat inventory.
Trinny has a medical condition that prevents her from gaining any certifications, but has certainly gained a ton of experience in treat inventory management. She loves her job so much that she even keeps treat inventory in her off time at home.

Ellie Jukes is an apprentice trainer, meaning she is being trained to be an assistant trainer. She is currently working on confidence building and hopes to gain her Canine Good Citizen certification as well as her level 2 Pet Dog Ambassador certification.
Ellie is also learning the ins and outs of after class inspections and hopes to be part of the after class inspection crew very soon.
Ellie currently specializes in notifying all of her coworkers when someone arrives to the training facility.
